The name McAfee that has been synonymous with antivirus security for over 25 years will be coming to an end. Earlier this week Intel CEO Brian Krzanich at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas announced that in the coming month the McAfee Security brand of antivirus software will be re-branded to Intel Security.
Intel plans to keep the shield logo while the software will remain relatively unchanged. The re-branding should be complete within the year.
